VisiticsBot reads the public pages of a website for its SEO audit in Visitics — only when the owner of the site asked for it.

Who sends it

Esentra, s.r.o. operates Visitics, cookieless web analytics with servers in the European Union. VisiticsBot identifies itself with this User-Agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; VisiticsBot/1.0; +https://www.getvisitics.com/bot/)

Which sites it reads and how

  • Only sites their owners added to Visitics and on which the Visitics code is installed — never any other site.
  • Only public pages: no forms, no sign-in, no carts. It follows the links from the home page, the sitemaps and the pages with visits.
  • At most 2.0 requests a second, from our servers in the EU, without running JavaScript; images and external links only get a short check.
  • From once a month to once a day by the owner's plan, or when the owner starts an audit.

robots.txt

VisiticsBot follows robots.txt (RFC 9309): its own group User-agent: VisiticsBot, otherwise the group for all crawlers. To stop it on your site:

To allow it while other crawlers are limited:

Disallow: /admin/

What it keeps

What the audit needs — titles, descriptions, headings, links, status codes — for the owner of the site in their Visitics account. No personal data and no copies of the pages for any other purpose.
