Privacy and GDPR
Visitics counts visits; it does not follow individuals across days or sites.
Nothing is stored in the visitor's browser.
A visitor is counted through an 8-byte fingerprint that changes every day. Yesterday’s visitor can no longer be recognised.
They serve only to compute the fingerprint and the city, then they are dropped.
After that only daily summaries remain. Click positions for heatmaps carry no fingerprint.
No third-party scripts or services in the measurement, no transfer of data outside the EU. Esentra is a processor with an agreement under the GDPR.

Questions
Visitics uses no cookies or browser storage and stores no IP addresses. It is designed along the criteria of the French authority CNIL for measurement that does not require consent. The final assessment is up to the website operator, though — that is why Visitics also has a mode in which it measures only after consent from your cookie banner, and it respects the Global Privacy Control signal.
It is simpler, speaks your language and needs no cookies. It also has heatmaps, frustration signals, site speed and visitor feedback, for which you would otherwise need other tools (for example Hotjar or Clarity). The data does not leave the European Union.
No. The script has under 6 kB compressed, loads with the defer attribute after the page and sends data in the background. For comparison, common tools with heatmaps have 25 kB and more.
On our own server in the European Union, with an open model — no conversation goes to a third-party AI provider. It answers from the pages of your site, your own answers and your product feed; prices and stock always come from the feed. When the AI is not available or the monthly limit is used up, it keeps working in a basic mode without AI.
Yes. Many sites keep both tools at first and compare the numbers. Differences are normal: Google Analytics does not count visitors who decline cookies, Visitics uses no cookies.
Measuring never stops. You get an e-mail at 80% and 100% of the limit; after two whole months over it the dashboard waits until you choose a bigger plan or add Stardust (50,000 more pageviews for €9 a month) — no data is lost.
Yes. Clicks on buttons and links are recorded by themselves, forms too (without the content of the fields). You add your own events with the data-visitics attribute or one line of JavaScript, orders and leads from the server too.
On Esentra's servers in the European Union. Esentra is a processor under the GDPR and neither sells the data nor uses it for anything else. Raw records are deleted after 30 days, only summaries remain.
